Orwell's genius lies in making a political allegory feel like a simple farm story. The way power corrupts — 'All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others' — is a line that stays with you forever. I read this in a single afternoon and it left me thinking for weeks. It's short, sharp, and devastatingly relevant even today. One of those books that should be mandatory reading.
